VOR/DME Finder converts any location — a Google Maps link, coordinates, MGRS, UTM or a Plus Code — into a radial and DME distance from any VOR station worldwide. Everything is computed on your device and works without an internet connection.

Getting started
- Enter a location. Paste a Google Maps link, or type coordinates such as
24.7136, 46.6753, a DMS value, an MGRS or UTM grid reference, or a Plus Code. You can also tap Use my location. - Pick a VOR station. Search by identifier, station name or airport code — for example
RUH,RiyadhorJFK. The list is sorted by distance from your location. - Add a second station (optional) to produce a VOR-to-VOR cross fix.
- Calculate. You get the magnetic radial, the true radial, and the distance in NM, KM or MI.
Frequently asked questions
Does the app work without internet?
Yes. The navaid database and all calculations are bundled inside the app. The only feature that needs a connection is the background map imagery — everything else works in airplane mode.
Where does the station data come from?
Navaid data is sourced from OurAirports. Magnetic declination uses the WMM2025 model published by NOAA/NCEI, and distances use WGS84 Vincenty geodesics.
Why does the magnetic radial differ from my chart?
Charted radials are referenced to the station's declination at the time it was last calibrated, which can differ from today's actual magnetic variation by a degree or more. The app computes current declination from WMM2025. Switch to TRUE to compare true bearings directly.
The app can't find my location.
Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services, make sure it is on, then find VOR Finder in the list and select While Using the App. Indoors, a GPS fix can take a few seconds or fail — try again near a window or enter coordinates manually.
A station I need is missing.
The database contains 4,262 stations. If one is missing or its frequency looks wrong, email us the identifier and location and we will check it against the source data.
Is my data collected?
No. There is no account, no analytics and no server. Favourites, history and preferences are stored only on your device. See the privacy policy.
How do I export my results?
Tap Export CSV to open the iOS share sheet, from which you can save the file to Files, mail it, or send it to another app. Share link and the WhatsApp and Email buttons share a single fix.

الأسئلة الشائعة
هل يشتغل التطبيق بدون إنترنت؟
نعم. قاعدة بيانات المحطات وكل الحسابات مدمجة داخل التطبيق. الشيء الوحيد الذي يحتاج اتصالاً هو صور الخريطة في الخلفية — وما عدا ذلك يعمل في وضع الطيران.
من أين تأتي بيانات المحطات؟
بيانات المحطات من OurAirports، والانحراف المغناطيسي من نموذج WMM2025 الصادر عن NOAA/NCEI، والمسافات محسوبة بمعادلات Vincenty على مرجع WGS84.
لماذا يختلف الراديال المغناطيسي عن الخريطة عندي؟
الراديالات في الخرائط مبنية على انحراف المحطة وقت آخر معايرة لها، وقد يختلف عن الانحراف المغناطيسي الفعلي اليوم بدرجة أو أكثر. التطبيق يحسب الانحراف الحالي من WMM2025. بدّل إلى TRUE لمقارنة الاتجاهات الحقيقية مباشرة.
التطبيق لا يستطيع تحديد موقعي.
افتح الإعدادات ← الخصوصية والأمان ← خدمات الموقع، وتأكد أنها مفعّلة، ثم اختر VOR Finder من القائمة وحدّد أثناء استخدام التطبيق. داخل المباني قد يتأخر تحديد الموقع أو يفشل — جرّب قرب نافذة أو أدخل الإحداثيات يدوياً.
محطة أحتاجها غير موجودة.
القاعدة تحتوي على 4,262 محطة. إذا كانت هناك محطة ناقصة أو تردد يبدو خاطئاً، أرسل لنا الرمز والموقع وسنراجعه مقابل المصدر.
هل تُجمع بياناتي؟
لا. ما فيه حساب ولا تحليلات ولا سيرفر. المفضلة والسجل والإعدادات محفوظة على جهازك فقط. راجع سياسة الخصوصية.
كيف أصدّر النتائج؟
اضغط Export CSV لفتح قائمة المشاركة في iOS، ومنها تحفظ الملف في «الملفات» أو ترسله بالبريد أو لتطبيق آخر. وأزرار Share link وواتساب والبريد تشارك نتيجة واحدة.
